RHC Holdings Selects Goliath to Reduce Slow Citrix Logon Times

 

Goliath Technologies was chosen by RHC Holdings to reduce Citrix logon times from 2-5 minutes to 20-40 seconds while improving their Citrix XenDesktop 7.6 end user logon experience

Philadelphia, PA–December 8, 2015– RHC Holdings—a leading global manufacturer of audiovisual products—has selected Goliath Performance Monitor to proactively troubleshoot and fix issues related to slow end user logons and improve the end user experience with IT performance monitoring technology purpose built for Citrix XenDesktop 7.6.

“By using Goliath Performance Monitor and features like Goliath’s real time Logon Duration Report, we dropped the average XenDesktop 7.6 logon time to 20-40 seconds from 2-5 minutes, much to the delight of our end users” said Kaleb Propst, IT Technician at RHC Holdings.

Recently, the executive team and IT Operations team at RHC Holdings made a strategic move to leave their public cloud provider and build their own data center.

Existing end user experience issues that were causing significant pain for RHCs IT team was a key factor in the move to bring IT on premise. Specifically, logons that were averaging between 2-5 minutes which is upwards of 86% higher than the desired logon time.

“We attempted to troubleshoot the logon issues using the standard methods, like finding hot fixes and reading through IT forums. We even opened Citrix support tickets. All to no avail, however, as our efforts to stop the ‘logon bombs’ and identify the root cause of the slow Citrix logons were unsuccessful” said Kaleb Propst.

It was at this point that Kaleb and his colleagues turned to Goliath Performance Monitor, specifically to get deep visibility into the entire Citrix logon process from the end users’ perspective, and to leverage the technology’s Citrix Logon Duration report for advanced troubleshooting and analysis.
