Pentasys Corporation chooses Goliath Technologies to manage and monitor Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp Environments

Pentasys Corporation, a full service IT consulting company specializing in Citrix solutions, cloud computing, and managed services, announced they have chosen Goliath Technologies’ MonitorIT solution as a means of extending their managed service offering around Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp environments.  MonitorIT will replace N-able as the standard technology for monitoring their customers’ virtual and physical environments, including virtual hosts, physical servers, networks, and desktops as well as Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop deployments.

“Our business is enabling organizations to evaluate and implement Virtual Desktop Infrastructure from Citrix.  Certainly, managing virtual environments is of critical importance but at some level these virtual environments rely on physical infrastructure such as servers, networks, and storage.  Therefore, it was very important to have a product that could monitor all physical and virtual elements that ultimately impact the performance of a Citrix XenDesktop or XenApp deployment” said Steve Harms, CEO of Pentasys.  He continued, “We were using N-able and also evaluated other monitoring products such as SolarWinds, Zenith, Kaseya, and GoToManage.  These other technologies either had limitations in terms of the completeness of what they monitored, ease of use, or cost.  The Goliath Technologies MonitorIT product had all of the functionality we were looking for, is very easy to use, and is at a cost that fits our business model.”
