Philadelphia, PA – October 01, 2010

Goliath Technologies, a leading provider of systems management software for hybrid physical and virtual environments, announced today that they have acquired the assets of Breakout Software. Breakout Software, a privately held company with offices in Scotch Plains, New Jersey, provides server and network monitoring solutions to the SMB and Enterprise markets.

“The Breakout Software product line, Monitor IT, aligns with Goliath Technologies’ strategy and will be a great addition to our product portfolio. Many IT professionals are in a difficult situation when it comes to monitoring due to an antiquated toolset. Enterprise solutions, architected decades ago, are expensive and difficult to use and maintain. While the “try and buy” download products have been popular because they are easy to use, they present challenges with scalability for large deployments. Both offerings have been slow to embrace the trends of virtualization and cloud computing,” said Thomas Charlton, Chairman of Goliath Technologies.”

Mr. Charlton continued, “The Monitor IT product line, with over 25,000 agents deployed worldwide serves the customer who wants both ease of use and enterprise scalability at a reasonable price. Historically the Breakout Software team focused on this target market and we will continue to extend the product line with this in mind. “

Breakout Software has been in business for over 10 years, and this steadily growing company has amassed hundreds of customers in over 20 countries. The flagship product line, Monitor IT, manages virtual and physical servers, network devices, applications and desktops for customers in a diverse set of verticals and serves customers in both the SMB & enterprise markets including Mindshift, ADP, ING Direct, Sunoco Logistics LLC, Thomson Reuters, Boeing and Shell.

“We are very proud of our growth and profitability over the years. Identifying market trends early and reacting with technology solutions has always been a hallmark of our company, and virtualization and cloud computing are no exception. Our architecture supports the management of hybrid physical and virtual environments. In addition, because we truly listened to our service provider customers, we were able to add enhancements that were meaningful to them technically and commercially before larger competitors. Said Floyd Roberts, Founder and CTO of Breakout Software.”

ABOUT GOLIATH TECHNOLOGIES
Goliath Technologies is focused on systems management software for IT organizations that address the evolving challenges of managing physical, virtual and cloud infrastructures. These hybrid environments require solutions that are scalable, cost effective and easy to use. Many legacy technologies are difficult to deploy and expensive to maintain and, as a result, are not well suited for this new paradigm. Inexpensive or free technologies, though easy to deploy and use, lack enterprise functionality and scalability. Both are slow to add features that are required to support physical, virtual and cloud infrastructures. At Goliath, we provide products that fill this gap with the right combination of scalability and functionality at a reasonable cost that embrace the complexities of virtualization and cloud computing. Headquartered in Philadelphia, PA, our software is used by customers worldwide including ADP, ING Direct, Mindshift, Thomson Reuters and Shell. Global customers join our online user community to share information, solve technical challenges and contribute to our ongoing product development initiatives.
